One Caucasus Program!

Here you can find the framework of the One Caucasus Program. Please remember that the final list of activities will be created by our experts, artists, volunteers and participants.

One Caucasus is the international festival and long-term borderland program aimed at creating inspirational & safe space for meetings of young people from Caucasus.

Where: Tserakvi, Marneuli district, Kvemo-Kartli region, Georgia, Caucasus, Eurasia

1) One Caucasus Festival
28-31 August, Tserakvi
Note: the festival and living space (camping field) are free of charge!

A) Main Stage
For the four festival days One Caucasus Main Stage will host new international music projects including:

CLIVE BROWN (UK/Jamaica) and the FIRST CAUCASUS GOSPEL CHOIR (Caucasus+)
JULIAN CHAMBERS (UK/Jamaica/Barbados) + MARNELI (Georgia)
PAKO SARR (Senegal) + GORDELA (Georgia)
VOŁOSI (Poland) + CHVENEBUREBI (Georgia)
NATURAL BORN LOVERS (Georgia) + some of the best jazz/blues musician of the region (Caucasus)
FOLKNERY (Ukraine) + Caucasus folk/reggae/ska vibrations (Caucasus)

B) One Caucasus Town activities
In "Not Perfect Town of Our Dream" - The One Caucasus Town (that will be raised by the One Caucausus participants!) various interdisciplinary activities will take place including:

Pansodan Gallery Embassy - the real corner of South-East Asia contemporary culture - including art presentations, exhibitions, workshops and Rangoon-style cafe - curated by Aung Soe Min (Burma) - the culture and education animator, writer and founder of one of the first independent art galleries in Rangoon, Burma,

Human Rights Corner - created by the members of legendary local group of Amnesty International USA #133 - Rick Roth & Pam Ikegami (USA) - with workshops on how to get involved in human rights non-political actions,
Informal Cinemas Zone - simple-designed, low-cost constructed, functional cinemas spaces will offer you unique opportunity to watch inspirational film programs and the results of the film and video workshops implemented during One Caucasus Volunteer Program. One of our cinema will be provided by the real Transformer (Armenia) of Utiopiana.
Children Zone - will include English-through-Fun workshops of Chemtai Yegon (Kenya), architecture workshops for kids by Anna Bera (Poland) and many more
People of Marneuli District - photo exhibition of the portraits of the inhabitants of the villages and towns of Marneuli district by Jahangir Youssif (Azerbaijan)
... and many more places and activities -- come to Tserakvi to check it out -- or - even better - to co-create the new places and the new initiatives.

2) One Caucasus Pre-festival activities!

The last week of August will offer various activities - including open workshops such as:

First Afro-Caribbean gospel vocal workhops in Caucasus ever led by legendary choir director Clive Brown (UK/Jamaica) - if you think you can sing - join the adventure on 26-28 August - register (30 GEL) by calling: +995599506657,
Reportage and Photo Reportage Workshops led by Witold Szabłowski (Poland) & Jahangir Youssif (Azerbaijan) - on 25-31 August - including practic skills of creating editor team of One Caucasus Daily newspaper during the festival days. 3) One Caucasus International Volunteer Program
11-31 August
Unique International Volunteer Program (with more than 100 applicants from more than 20 countries) will be key important for creating the One Caucasus Town in Tserakvi and carry out series of workshops and initatives with local communities of whole Marneuli region. The Program includes workshops and initiatives such as:

One Caucasus Inside View - Participatory Documentary Worshops for Local Communities - by Dmytro Tiazhlov & Ella Shtyka (Ukraine) - one of the best documentary film-makers team from Ukraine will be working with local inhabitants of villages of Marneuli district on creating their own documentary movies. The initiative will be implemented in coorporation with Transformer (Armenia) of Utopiana.
Planning One Caucasus Town - content-related and architecture workshops for programming and constructing One Caucasus Town - led by international team including architects: Levan Asabashvili (Georgia) and Ughur Giyasi (Azerbaijan) with participation of long-term volunteers and representatives of local communities.
Art of animation - series of workshops of animated movies for local youth of Marneuli led by Lude Reno (Martinique/ France)
English-through-Fun series of workshops of English language for local children and youth led by Chemtai Yegon (Kenya)
Designing & creating furniture for One Caucasus Town - in working teams of local craftmen and craftwomen - together with Polish designer and producer Anna Bera (Poland)
